Rebel and Weston are a perfect fit as both are just plain folks. He might have more money than she did as a kid, and she is now singing in front of thousands, but neither of them has their heads in a cloud, nor did their heads swell making them obnoxious people.
The danger and intrigue will have readers flipping through the pages as quickly as possible to see what could possibly happen next. The supporting characters have a realistic ring to them as people who fit into the storyline and into their jobs perfectly. The bad guy came as a complete shock to me. I am usually pretty good at ferreting out the culprit but this time I was leaning toward the wrong person. Well done, Ms. Reus, you got me this time.
PROTECTING REBEL gives readers a well-done mystery, sweet yet steamy romance, and characters that you will find interesting and (except for one or two) likeable. All in all, this is a book you will not want to put down until you reach the end and still you might just want more.
