Readers cannot help but feel for Theo and really love how Yakov feels protective of her immediately. I guess it could be the nightmares of her death that just might have something to do with that.

Yakov’s twin Pavel has his heart set on Arwen Mercant and we get to see if he is successful or not. There is also some drama with Pax Marshall. Is he a good guy or will he succumb to the scarab syndrome? So many questions involving this world with quite a few answers and still more that readers will want to know about this intriguing world.
