Women's Fiction Contemporary

Meredith Collins came back to Cape Sanctuary to start over. After her disastrous marriage and the scandal her ex-husband caused, she wanted to get away. Meredith went back to the place where she was the happiest, the beachside town of Cape Sanctuary. And she is intrigued by the kind man, Liam, who lives next door, but has secrets of his own--secrets that Meredith isn't ready for.

Tori Ayala stayed in Cape Sanctuary to run her grandmother's café and get married. Now widowed with a teenage daughter, Tori isn't sure she has time to deal with Meredith who shows up claiming half ownership in the cafe. And when her brother-in-law, Sam, shows up seeking help for his daughter, nothing goes according to plan.

THE CAFE AT BEACH END by RaeAnne Thayne is the latest release in her standalone series, Cape Sanctuary. Meredith and Tori both have a lot to deal with after Meredith returns to town. Family drama from keeping secrets and unkept promises are behind the rift between these formerly close cousins. Now, they have to work together while dealing with personal problems with each other and the men in their lives. Secrets, suspicion, and a much-needed change of heart move the store in its course.

As always, RaeAnne Thayne brings her characters the happy ending they may not have expected. Everyone finds that family will be there for you even if they aren’t exactly your best friend at the time. Thayne’s book is a wonderful read and continues to follow the residents of this quaint, thriving beach community. Cape Sanctuary is just the place to go to find answers to the problems of these troubled characters. THE CAFE AT BEACH END by RaeAnne Thanye will charm fans and welcome new readers with this delightful beachside town.

SUMMARY

For fans of Debbie Macomber and Susan Wiggs, an emotional story of starting over and reclaiming happiness.

When Meredith Collins was a child, the little beach town of Cape Sanctuary lived up to its name. Spending summers there with her grandmother, Meredith finally felt safe and loved.

Now she’s returning in disgrace. Her late ex-husband swindled investors out of millions of dollars and made Meredith a figure of scorn—though she knew nothing about his scheme. But she still has the beach cottage she inherited from her grandmother and half ownership of the local café. It’s a place to work and earn a little money. That’s if her cousin, Tori, will let her through the door. Once, Tori and Meredith were as close as sisters—until Meredith chose her neglectful parents’ expectations over their bond. Now widowed with a teenage daughter, Tori isn’t setting out a welcome mat for the woman who let her down so badly.

While Meredith tries to make a fresh start, she is drawn to a mysterious writer renting the cottage next door. Liam Byrne’s kindness is a balm, though she worries he might not be so friendly if he knew who she was. But Liam has his own secret and a mission that will help Meredith confront her past—and maybe, claim a surprising future…
