Orion's backstory is heartbreaking and after he escapes, he loses his new family to a disease that he feels guilty he couldn't protect his people from. His past hasn't really let go of him, but can Violet's love and the respect of his new family make him believe in the future?

Multiple romances develop in addition to Orion and Violet, though those two are the characters you want to give a good shake. Violet's sisters manage their romances in a more, shall we say, less subtle way. Additionally, there is a little rescue puppy that turns Orion into a marshmallow. There is so much going on and new characters are introduced in this magical New Orleans setting, including a panda bear shifter, some wolves, new humans, and more. Get your hands on a copy of ANCIENT GUARDIAN and enjoy the danger, the drama, the fun, the steamy and sweet romances, and everything in between that Katie Reus brings so vividly to life.
