In WRAITH'S REVENGE by Keri Arthur, Lizzie Grace has no choice but to return to Canberra and face the world she never wanted to see again. Forced to deal with her late husband's estate and testify in her father's trial, neither task is anything she cares about. But Lizzie is not about to give in to the family of her late husband without making them pay for the years she was on the run. Nor does she think this trial is much more than a farce where her father will get a slap on the wrist for using drugs and magic to force his underage daughter into marriage.
It's all bad, but worse are the reminders and painful memories that her sister had been murdered in Canberra and the killer was never found. Though Lizzie had stopped him there was no proof that he was dead. Lizzie had hoped he was destroyed by demons but could never be sure. But when witches turn up dead in what appears to be ritual sacrifices, Lizzie wonders if this is possibly the same killer. A copycat? And who is the spirit that no one else sees who seems to be leading her to the dead?
WRAITH'S REVENGE gives Lizzie Grace fans some answers, some surprises, and quite a few "it's about time" moments. So much happens in this book as Lizzie tries to move beyond her family and past to get back to the life she wants: her cafe, her friends, the witches who are now her family, and maybe--just maybe--the wolf shifter that still holds her heart.
So much of WRAITH'S REVENGE could be construed as a spoiler so let me say, the spirit is very friendly; the father might have gotten a slap by the council but the Wraith laid one on him that is the perfect revenge; the wraith does get his just rewards too; Belle gets a surprise and Lizzie ... well Lizzie has an even bigger surprise that will have fans clamoring for the next Lizzie Grace book RIGHT NOW!
SUMMARY
You can't run from the past forever...
Lizzie Grace has finally returned to Canberra, the city where she grew up and a place that holds so many bad memories. Not only does she have to testify at her father's trial, but also deal with her ex's will and relatives unhappy that she's inherited a good chunk of his assets.
Yet Canberra holds more than just memories of an unwanted marriage. It's where her sister was murdered, and the man responsible was never caught.
Witches are once again being ritualistically sacrificed, and it holds terrible echoes of those past deaths.
As the murders draw closer to home, Lizzie finds herself in a race to hunt down the wraith of a man after the ultimate revenge...the soul of the woman who once escaped him.
