Romance Suspense

Abby Frost is having a bad week.  First, she’s attacked leaving her job at Pacific Northwest Savings and Loan, and later she learns from a DNA test that the father who raised her is not her biological father.  What Abby doesn’t know is that her biological father has ties to a ruthless drug cartel, and before long, she will be FORCED TO FLEE the life she's known and travels across the country under the protection of handsome U.S. Marshal Jace Armstrong.

U.S. Marshal Gavin Armstrong remembers when Carlos Reyes went missing on the eve of his testimony against the powerful Garcia drug cartel.  Now, Carlos’s biological daughter, Abigail Frost, has contacted him.  Gavin knows Abby’s public genealogy results put her in danger and he sends his son and fellow U.S. Marshal, Jace Armstrong, to keep an eye on her without her knowledge.  Jace poses as Abby’s new next-door neighbor, but when he must save her from two vicious attacks, his cover is blown, and the two must go on the run.

As Abby and Jace flee, they are pursued and shot at by cartel members and they are deceived by a mole in the U.S. Marshals.  Upon landing in Texas, the cartel catches up with Abby and Jace again and transports them to the Garcia cartel compound, where Jace is beaten.  There’s no time to spare.  Abby must tap into her inner strength to save her and Jace from their vicious captors.  Can she and Jace make it out alive?

FORCED TO FLEE is a high-octane adventure that takes off from the first scene.  The action is non-stop, and the danger is palpable, as Abby and Jace are outnumbered and in dangerous territory, as the drug cartel will stop at nothing to find Abby’s biological father.  Abby and Jace have chemistry and their relationship develops nicely as the two are thrown into high-stress situations.  I like that the author gave Jace and Abby equal opportunities to take charge and show their strengths.  The action scenes are well-done, and the story moves quickly.   Fast-paced and entertaining, FORCED TO FLEE will take you on a cross-country thrill ride where faith prevails and love protects in the end.
