Romance | Suspense

Zamira Nowak is a widow, but it was the secrets her late husband kept that has her wary of relationships. With twins to raise there is honestly little time for romance. With those two off on a vacation with their grandparents, Zamira finally has time for herself. She didn't expect to need a DEADLY PROTECTOR instead of getting the relaxation she expected.

Dimitri Lenkov has a thing for the single mom, but he too has secrets. Though he does work on contract with Red Stone Security and owns several hardware stores, he was not always on the right side of the law. When Zamira feels threatened by an old friend of her late husband's, Dimitri will not stay away - especially since he finally got her to go on a date! He will do whatever it takes to protect her.

Zamira is from a large family and Dimitri is longtime friends of Layosha and Victor. These people are more than willing to step in and keep them both safe. It is always great to see characters from previous books working together. Sorry if you don't know their stories - you really need to get your hands on the past books in this series! If you love family of the heart and blood working together DEADLY PROTECT will fit that desire very well.

DEADLY PROTECTOR is action packed from start to finish. Zamira and Dimitri have been dancing around one another for so long - staying in the friend zone. I enjoyed the dialogue between them, the guys in the security team and her family. I even enjoyed the way the two children reacted to Dimitri when they returned home. Can you say one big happy family? Well - there is the little problem of the old friend of her late husband who must be dealt with, and they do it with finesse and cunning - with the moments of danger that will have your heart pounding. And, of course, the other heart pounding moments come when Zamira and Dimitri decide to stop dancing and get steamy.

Another amazing read and a hope that there are more to come!
