Lizzie Grace is trying to get on with her life after having broken up with her werewolf ranger boyfriend, but it isn't easy. She has to work closely with the rangers as the Deputy Reservation Witch, and, of course, every call seems to be answered by Aiden O'Connor - her ex-lover who hasn't quite accepted the fact that they are an ex-couple. But did her SORROW'S SONG bring danger down on the O'Connor packs head.
SORROW'S SONG is a multifaceted read. You have the human danger - a nutcase who is killing elderly women and on top of that a type of Siren that can be found in the reservation waterways is on the warpath. Is it possible that Lizzie's sorrow over her broken romance brought this danger that seems to be targeting the O'Connor men? Lizzie's antagonist and Aiden's mother seems to think so and is moving to get rid of Lizzie and Belle once and for all. And that brings an amazing spectacle of Lizzie having had enough and puts her foot down - or is it her wild magic down. I adore the witches that rally around Lizzie and Belle (Monty, Ashworth and Eli) giving them strength and reassurance that all will be well. It seems the older gentlemen have a trick or two up their sleeves and will do what ever they can to protect their adopted daughters. During this fantastic read we get to learn a bit more about Kate and Gabe and a bit more about why Karleen hates witches. The loss of a few members of the O'Connor family will break your heart for Aiden and his mother but it takes all of them to work together. That is a monumental struggle until Aiden becomes alpha enough to make it happen.
SORROW'S SONG is a must read for all Lizzie Grace fans as it gives us a look at the future even though things are still up in the air. It ends with Belle and Lizzie boarding a plane for Canberra to deal with her father's trial and her ex's family and inheritance. At least there seems to be hope that Aiden will man up - or is it wolf up - but when it comes to packs, you never know what can happen.
If you love action, danger, paranormals, a bit of down under, and having your heart strings tugged and twisted - then SORROW'S SONG will fit the bill perfectly.
They say breaking up is hard to do. They're wrong. Living with the consequences is so much harder, especially when sorrow is a powerful draw to evil …
Lizzie Grace is trying to get on with her life now that she and Aiden have gone their separate ways, but it's a difficult thing to do when just about everything reminds her of the damn man.
The situation is made worse when a body is found, and her job as Deputy Reservation Witch means she has no choice but to interact with him. At first, the death seems to be nothing more than an accidental drowning in a remote location, but it's soon evident a supernatural entity is involved.
As they race to uncover what is going on, it becomes clear that this evil is not only targeting werewolves, but one particular pack—the O'Connor's.
And the reason might well be the song of sorrow. A song that Lizzie's grief might have given birth to…
