Zephyr doesn't fit into this new world, even with his brothers around he feels the odd shifter out. But meeting Juniper he feels he belongs Now if he can just keep her alive, fight the bad guys, keep the mysterious people who seem to be watching her away - he might talk her into being his destined mate. This is an amazing read that has supernaturals fighting side-by-side to save humans who are being trafficked to vampires and demons. Juniper and Zephyr work very well together and as part of a team, but he is not against taking orders from a woman. In his world, women are leaders as much as the men.

Not sure how much to say about Juniper's background without giving too much away. I can say her adopted parents are amazingly gentle people as healers who went above and beyond protecting their daughter. With all of author Katie Reus's Ancient Rising and Darkness series' the characters are captivating, with dialogue that will have you enthralled, laughing out loud or questioning what they just said. The action, danger and drama are vivid and will have you wondering how Ms. Reus came up with this whole amazing world. Job well done and keep them coming.
