SAVAGE ROAD is the second book by author Christine Feehan that features Savage and Seychelle and continues their story. If readers thought ANNIHILATION ROAD (the first book) was dark they must be warned that SAVAGE ROAD is much darker. Savage is a sadist, but Saychelle is more than willing to be whatever her partner needs. Luckily, Ms. Feehan does a very good job of delving into the sadistic side of their relationship but also gives fans an actual storyline that looks into the world of the Torpedo Ink club and family. The danger that started in the first book follows them into this one and readers will be amazed at who is behind it all.
Aside from the sadism, readers are given an insight into the MC life as the family lives it as we join them on a run and figure out the complex plan that would have caused a war with other clubs. Seychelle has a healing ability that nearly forces her to help others while Savage and the others do their best to help her control that compulsion. Savage has also always taken some of the overload of emotions from his family (as well as during meetings - but with Saychelle singing she helps smooth things out with her voice) to keep things under control, but to his detriment, as it builds up in him. Her ability comes in handy as they work to break the plan that might send a number of them to jail or worse.
SAVAGE ROAD is one of Ms. Feehan's most awaited reads and will please some readers and others not so thrilled, but all will be glad that Savage, who had been nearly destroyed along with the others in that school, has found someone who he can love and who can love him. After all, isn't that what a romance book is supposed to give its readers - a happily ever after!
