In DARK TAROT, Sandu Berardi is an ancient Carpathian. DARK TAROT is indeed a journey of epic proportions. Sandu simply finds Adalasia as her voice - though she told him to go away - draws him to her. With the colors exploding around him he is sure she is his mate, only there are many secrets that must be explored and explained for them both. I found it interesting that Sandu called his brethren (Nicu, Benedek, Petru and Siv) to help him and Adalasia as they start their journey. Usually, a newly mated Carpathian cannot stand others being around his lifemate so his actions seem completely uncharacteristic. Though in doing so, author Christine Feehan does give her fans more time with these ancients and let us get to know them.
While searching for Sandu's childhood, which is part and parcel of the mystery of the cards fans get to revisit some past favorites as they are seeking them out and ask for help. They include Lucian and Jaxon, Andre and Teagan, Gabriel and Francesca, Dominic and Solange, Jubal and Jasmine (who have a surprise happening), Danutdaxton (Dax) and Riley, Luiz De La Cruz (and this will answer a few questions about him), Tiberius Bercovitz as well as a number of others who are added into this riveting plotline. And with each visit Adalasia learns more about the Carpathian life and fans get a refresher course.ll in all DARK TAROT is a fascinating paranormal read with its revisit to past favorites, watching as two people learn about themselves and each other while learning about life, their pasts and their future together.
