Fans of Hank Phillippi Ryan may enjoy this standalone thriller, but there were many areas in the story that felt disjointed and redundant.  I had a hard time believing the reason for Cassie’s disappearance or the importance of Lily keeping it a secret.  Everything felt overdramatized without real substance to back it up.  I never really connected with any of the characters, which left me unenthused about the outcome.  It seems there were good intentions for HER PERFECT LIFE, but somehow the story became too convoluted and tedious to really enjoy.
