BLOODY LOVE begins where BLOODY VOWS ends, with a cliffhanger that has your heart in your throat with Kane's helicopter going down... But with the need to be careful of "spoilers" there is little I can say about this event. Just guess that things have a way of working out.
If you think Lilah Love's life isn't one hill after another, Kane's crash is only the beginning. She is called to a murder scene that reveals a dead bride still in her wedding gown. It doesn't take a genius to know that this link to Liliah's world isn't a coincidence. On top of the worries about Kane, the murders (yes there is more than one poor "bride"), the devil from her past, and a note-writing stalker, Lilah Love has a lot of reasons to drop a few f-bombs here, there, and everywhere.
BLOODY LOVE is a riveting, hold you by the throat read. Lilah Love is unlike any FBI agent anyone has ever seen. She is absolutely her own woman and doesn't bow down to any authority. She relies on her own gut instincts. Kane is legit, but a lot of people believe he took over his cartel father's empire, and they are both all right with that. Readers are sure of the love these two share, despite the drawbacks, because they have a past that holds them together along with shared enemies and friends.
Because BLOODY LOVE is book 6 of the Lilah Love series I suggest that readers read them in order to get the full impact of this love story. Kane's men, her brother, her "cousin" (whom Kane would rather see shot than being seen near Lilah), her hacker (who can find things no one else can and then some) round out this book with a variety of personalities, hi-jinks, laughter, and love. An emotional, heart-pounding, suspenseful read.
As far as Lilah's concerned, her note writing stalker just gets more stupid everyday. One, two, three, the cat is in the tree? What is that? And what does it have to do with a wedding turned bloody?
Lilah continues to hunt for the monster who killed a bride-to-be while she awaits news on Kane's chopper that emergency landed in the ocean. She's angry. She's worried. She's ready to kill the man she knows is responsible for Kane's crash: Pocher.
It's a race against the clock to save Kane and catch a killer.
