Dana Wiley is haunted by a life-changing decision she made
six years ago. On that day, she freaked out at the idea of
getting married, sure that she and her fiancé would end up
destroying each other. (After all, look what marriage had
done to her parents!) Clad in her white wedding dress, she
left Nick standing in the church, devastated.

My mother's being held by kidnappers, and only Nick Maybe,
the man I left at the altar six years ago, knows how to find
the ransom-a big, smelly, flightless parrot.
Manhattan isn't exactly ideal for wildlife-unless you're
talking about me and Nick. How can a man I haven't seen in
