Allison thought she had found the man of her dreams. Ben has everything a woman would want, good looks, kind, and very rich. But Ben has a secret. As Allison takes off on a flight, something goes horribly wrong and the plane crashes. Alison survived the crash and knows that she has to get out of there. Someone is after her, but who?

Her mother, Maggie, lives in Owl Creek, Maine. As she is standing in her kitchen there is a knock on the door. Jim, her friend and a police officer, has bad news for her. Jim explains that Allison has been in a plane crash, the pilot is dead, and they have not found Allison\'s body. Maggie knows in her heart that Allison is not dead. They have not spoken in over two years, ever since Charles has passed away. The reason, Maggie helped him die, and Allison never had a chance to say goodbye.

Allison is trying her hardest to get by in the forest. She knows that she must get out of here and somehow get back to her mother. Allison is pretty bruised from the crash, but nevertheless, she keeps going.

Maggie is finding out things about Allison that she didn\'t know. Allison was engaged to Ben, getting married in a few months. Maggie is still feeling Allison\'s present, knowing that she is still alive; she tried everything to find out more about Allison.

Allison knows that she is close to her home town; can she get there before whoever is after her catches her?

FREEFALL shows the love between a mother and a child although it is sad they were separated for two years and the heartbreak it caused both of them. Jessica Barry's description of what Allison went through trying to survive is spot on. Pick up FREEFALL and you won't be sorry.

SUMMARY

They say your daughter is dead.

You know they’re wrong.

When her fiancé’s private plane crashes in the Colorado Rockies, everyone assumes Allison Carpenter is dead.

But Maggie, Allison’s mother back home in Owl Creek, Maine, refuses to believe them. Maggie knows her daughter – or she used to, anyway. For the past two years, the two women have been estranged, and while Maggie doesn’t know anything about Ally’s life now – not even why she was on a private plane to begin with – she still believes in her girl’s strength, and in their love for each other.

As Allison struggles across the treacherous mountain wilderness, Maggie embarks on a desperate search for answers about the world Allison has been involved in. What was she running from? And can Maggie uncover the truth in time to save her?

Told from the perspectives of a mother and daughter separated by distance but united by an unbreakable bond, Freefall is a heart-stopping, propulsive thriller about two tenacious women overcoming unimaginable obstacles to protect themselves and the ones they love.
