FIRST RESPONSE: A Boys Behaving Badly Anthology includes the following stories: Far from Over by Reina Torres; Sheltering Charlotte by Elle James; The Siren’s Song by Ava Cuvay; Claiming Lyla by Megan Ryder; Over the Edge by N.J. Walters; Fire in the Storm by Payton Harlie; Save Me Twice by Jaap Boekestein; Saving Time by Kimberly Dean; Falling Off the Single Track by Tray Ellis; Blackout by January George; Drive by M. Jayne; Handcuffs and G-Strings by Margay Leah Justice; The $5 Kiss of Life by Michal Scott; Crossing the Line by A.C. Dawn; In the Wild by Delilah Devlin.
Whatever genre you prefer: sweet, contemporary, paranormal, or if your taste leads to a bit more risque, FIRST RESPONSE has something for you. These 15 authors will take you from a spaceport to an island during a hurricane, to getting chased by a bear, and even to meeting up again with the one that got away while stranded in an elevator. That is really only a taste of the kind of fun short stories that are offered. Add in some time travel, a couple of lycan storylines, a bounty hunter and park ranger, firefighters, cops, and a couple of offerings that involve a bit of play with handcuffs. As you might guess, with so many stories in one amazing book, there is absolutely something for everyone.
If you are looking for new authors this might be the perfect opportunity to test out and find something and someone you like. I happen to be a big fan of N.J. Walters so her offering of Over the Edge is what drew me to FIRST RESPONSE but I found a number of other authors who seem very talented and I enjoyed their stories, and I will absolutely be looking for more by them.
Though a couple of the stories in FIRST RESPONSE felt as if they were prequels to longer books and/or stopped abruptly, most were standalone and appealing, enjoyable reads. So if you are looking for something new, a short easy read, or a new author in a genre you particularly love, then get your hands on FIRST RESPONSE.
