SHADOW FLIGHT is one book that many Shadow Riders fans have been waiting for. Nicoletta Gomez has known horror and terror and is just learning the feeling of safety thanks to the Ferraro Family. Taviano Ferraro and his brother Stefano saved her life. Under their protective care, she is moving forward. Too bad she has fallen head over heels in love with Taviano. But, he knows her past, how could he possibly love her knowing everything she had gone through... everything that was done to her?
Taviano does very much love Nicoletta, he has always acknowledged that she was the one for him, but he didn't want to rush her. She needed to grow up and find herself after the horror that had been inflicted on her. But, there is no way she is ever going to get away from him. They belong together and will be together no matter what he has to do. When danger finally comes they will face it side by side.
SHADOW FLIGHT is a truly amazing book. Fans know Nicoletta's story and how Taviano rescued her, completely against rules, and learned she was one of them. For years she had been under the family's watchful eye, but Taviano had been there when the nightmares were more than she could bear alone. Little did she know that he too had a secret, one that even Stefano didn't know, one that made him totally understand her feelings. Sorry, you will have to get your hands on this book to find out just what happened, and you might find yourself disliking Eloisa even more than you did before (Though something comes out later that just might shed some light on possible reasons for the woman's questionable mothering skills).
Allseries There was, for me at least, a small disappointment in this amazing read - it was the birth of Stefano and Francesca's baby. It would have been fun to watch these guys freak out during the birth process, but I realize that time needed to go by to give Nicoletta more time to grow up.
There is a lot more action and "justice served" in SHADOW FLIGHT than usual as they fight to keep Nicoletta safe. They are also training her to endure their world better after her surprising affinity with the shadows. Again, you will have to read this book to find out how well she and the shadows get along. One of the things I love about Christine Feehan's books is her ability to write which makes readers feel that they are right there. In SHADOW FLIGHT she takes you into the shadows with the riders and it, personally, had me reminiscing on a ride years ago in Disney World. Wow--what a ride.
SHADOW FLIGHT is a surprise-filled thrill ride that has some unexpected twists and turns (actually some very realistic twists and turns) and a couple who certainly deserves their happily ever after. I really cannot wait to see where Ms. Feehan takes her readers and the Ferraro family next!
