In SAVAGE LOVE,the finale to the Savage Trilogy, Rick (no one but Candace calls him that!) Savage is back in his lady's life and will do anything to keep them both alive. Candace Marks has her Savage back and while they have worked through being back together, they have a problem or two to fix so they can stay that way.
Her fiance, Gabriel, who Savage has a number of interesting nicknames, is heading for the White House but someone wants him dead. Well, someone besides Savage... That person sent Savage to do the deed. The biggest mistake that man made was to threaten Candace and her father. Not going to happen and with the reluctant help of his Walker Security brothers, the danger will come to an end, one way or the other.
SAVAGE LOVE is amazing! There is no other word for this journey of a couple that lost each other and were given a second chance. It also includes the redemption, in a way, of a man who thought all was lost. He will always be rude, crude, and a killer, but he finds, with a little help, the pieces of his soul and puts them back in place. The attraction and sexual tension and acts are incredibly steamy but are also filled with the emotional satisfaction that only love can bring.
The Walker Security men add a number of moments of levity to the drama with their planning, bad jokes, donuts, and pizza, as well as plenty of action with guns blazing and fists and bodies flying. And, of course, just when you think the plan is perfect and in motion and new twist comes out. It seems another killer has been hired, but who is the real target?
The one thing I have come to expect and respect from a Lisa Renee Jones book is the unanticipated twists she throws readers way. The unforeseen appearance of Lilah Love and Kane Mendez to help Savage and Candace really blew the bad guys away from our couple and surprised readers, a nice touch for readers who will want to see the intermingling of the Lilah Love series and Savageseries in the future!
The action can be rather brutal but what can you expect when a man like Savage can only do what he does best to protect his love? This, combined with a steamy and sweet erotic romance, and some interesting twists and you have SAVAGE LOVE. And you will love every minute of it.
Just a bit of advice in reading this book - the author gives a quick synopsis of the other books, Savage Hunger and Savage Burn, to bring you up to date on the trilogy, but to get the full effect of this remarkable series, I suggest you grab them all. Welcome the roller coaster ride that is Savage.
They say all is fair in love and war, but I really don't give a damn about fair. In fact, when protecting those I love, fair is the last thing on my mind. Now that I'm back in Candace's life, those who have used her to try to control me, may well put up a final fight, but they will not win. They will lose and badly.
