Well I’ve missed Marie Ferrarella. It’s been a while since I’ve had the fortune to read and catch up with what’s going on in this prolific writers mind. And COLTON BABY CONSPIRACY checks off so many favorites boxes. It’s funny, heartwarming - unexpectedly so, dramatic and family oriented. Add in some characters that are smooth as silk when it comes to business and career. But as to personal relationships they definitely need a helping hand.

Bowie is a charming foil to Marlowe’s kind of innocence. Both well known for their business acumen. But many folks are going to be surprised when they see a totally different side to these two characters that just cracked me up.

Marlowe Colton and Bowie Robertson’s families are competitive to the max both with each other’s energy companies and in their personal lives. What Marlowe and Bowie never acknowledged was their mutual attraction. And yet that attraction led these two fabulous folks down a path they never even thought about. They had no time at times fate steps in and plans and schedules go out the window.

Marlowe wasn’t planning on having a baby. She barely had any time for herself. Family company responsibilities were her life. Bowie seemed to have a parallel life style. But these two together are a match made in heaven. Well of course not in the beginning. After all the world wasn’t made in a day.

So COLTON BABY CONSPIRACY is the story of how Marlowe and Bowie have to settle into their new relationship as upcoming parents to the baby that Marlowe is carrying. They fully expect reticence from their respective families about this child that would bridge a gap that had been insurmountable. But there are outside forces that have a problem with the pairing of these two. And they are making their presence known in a scary way.

Bowie is charming. Marlowe is impressed with his charm and caring. She is enjoying the care and attention given by someone whom she shouldn’t really trust. In the end the Colton’s and Robertson’s may just have to work together to prevent a disaster. Who knew – well Marie Ferrarella certainly did.

Marie Ferrarella reminds us that love has a way of making the world a better place. And in COLTON BABY CONSPIRACY the family dynamics are in equal measure humorous and irritating. The characters and their dialog jumps off each pages thanks to the talented author Marie Ferrarella. COLTON BABY CONSPIRACY is an entertaining story that ends too soon. I wanted more. Guess I’ll have to keep my eyes open for the next Colton story. COLTON BABY CONSPIRACY is book one in the new Colton of Mustang Valley series.
