"Superb storytelling and an awesome alpha hero!"

Fresh Fiction Review

The Whole Package

Romance Military | Romance Contemporary

THE WHOLE PACKAGE is the first book in Marie Harte's Movin' On series built around a small business created and run by military veterans. Due to his older brother, and business partner, Cash playing hero, Reid Griffith's moving business Vets on the Go! has more business than they know how to handle. PR maven and savvy businesswoman Naomi Starr has the expertise Reid needs, but she needs to build a client base. As Naomi and Reid work together, they find that they are compatible personally as well as professionally. Marie Harte writes a superb character-driven romance with complex and charismatic characters to die for.

Reid Griffith is everything you could want in a man - strong, sexy, smart, and sweet. What gives Naomi pause about becoming romantically involved with Reid, is the disaster that happened the last time she mixed business with pleasure. For his part, Reid is slow to attempt a relationship with Naomi because of the head trip his parents did on him and his brother when they were growing up. Their parents leave Reid and Cash with a feeling of inferiority in different ways. Naomi has her own issues and feelings of inadequacy, but it's mainly from pressure and expectations she puts on herself. Reid and Naomi help each other's self-esteem while offering love, emotional support, and super steamy sexy times. Because this story is told from alternating perspectives, you get a great sense of who the main characters are and what motivates them. Reid and Naomi are both extremely driven and aggressive when it comes to pursuing what they want in life, but they are equally two big softies where it really counts.

THE WHOLE PACKAGE is another example of Marie Harte's spellbinding storytelling and the way she excels at creating awesome alpha heroes. The death of Reid and Cash's mother and their family drama is something that haunts them and will echo through the next book in this series. In THE WHOLE PACKAGE, Marie Harte balances humor, passion, and human drama. I look forward to reading about all the other fab characters in this Movin' On series. It's great seeing cameos from characters in other Marie Harte books like Gavin Donnigan. I look forward to reading Cash's story in the next Movin' On romance.

SUMMARY

Always the caretaker, former Marine Reid Griffith wants to help his brother adjust to civilian life...and help other former servicemen. What better way to utilize their brawn, discipline, and charm than a moving company that hires veterans? But although Reid prides himself on being strategic, he certainly doesn't plan to fall in the spotlight of one brilliant—and beautiful—PR whiz...

PR expert Naomi Starr is determined to bring Vets on the Go! into the spotlight. But when she meets Reid, it might mean breaking her rule to never mix business with pleasure. Especially once she discovers that underneath Reid's sexy rough-and-tumble exterior is a vulnerable man who just might need what she's got to give.
