Thriller

Stone Barrington is a wealthy attorney who loves houses. He also loves women, planes, cars, boats, good food, Knob Creek Bourbon, travel, and adventure. His latest home purchase is in Key West and he is flying there to inspect the changes and additions that he hired local builder, Cal Waters to perform. At one time, the property was three houses but now it has become one beauty. George and Anna are hired as pampered help. Also included in the sale of the house is a Cabriolet Mercedes SS 50. When Stone hears a local widow wants to sell her husband's nearly-new Hinckley T43, he purchases it and joins the posh Yacht Club. The only "fly in the soup" is a fast-moving hurricane headed right in his direction. Holly Baker, his longtime girlfriend, now Secretary of State under the Katherine Lee Administration, is joining him shortly for some fun in the sun. Also invited is his good friend, Dino Balchetti and his wife, Vivian, expected in a few days.

His reunion with Holly is sweet and sexy. After a while, Holly says they need to talk about some important things. Holly describes a dinner she attended at the White House where she was seated next to a Florida senator Joe Box. Holly said they got along ok but as she was leaving, Box told her his driver was ill and asked her for a lift home. Holly agreed and as they walked up to her door, he exposed himself and demanded a blow job. Holly punched him in the nose. Stone was sympathetic and told her Box is very unpopular. Holly said Box planned to run for President in a new third party. And then she hit him with her important news: Katherine and Will Lee want Holly to run for president. They assure her of their complete backing. Stone swallows and begins to list the reasons he thinks Holly should not run, including how it will affect their relationship and he would not fit in the political machine...

TURBULENCE is an exciting thrill- a-minute chase to find Kelwyn Owaki, recently released terrorist with a plan to sell a nuclear weapon to North Korea with the help of the Russians. He must be stopped. Lance Cabot, CIA, and his agent Kelly Smith, Stone, along with a duke and duchess are placed in a deadly situation. Also involved is Senator Box, who turns out to be a lot worse than anyone ever imagined. From Key West, New York, LA, London, and even Paris, a chase against time will keep you turning those pages until the fiery finale. Stuart Woods is a longtime favorite of mine. He never lets me down with the Stone Barrington series, and TURBULENCE is another winner!
