This time the murdered woman had Kendra's name and a SD card of a wedding video on her possession. Kendra has a feeling she is about to be hit by a DOUBLE BLIND when drawn into this case.

Adam Lynch, an agent for hire, will back her up in all her endeavors but would really prefer she stick to her music therapy but knows she must solve this case especially with the stranger looking for her. He knows from experience that nothing is what it seems and that they will face the worst of the worst before all is said and done.

DOUBLE BLIND will have you on the edge of your seat! There is nothing normal or simple about this case, nor are the emotional twists and turns that Kendra will be forced to go through that will leave you winded with her. I have read a number of Kendra Michaels books by co-authors Iris Johansen and Roy Johansen, but this one stayed with me long after the last words. Which I might add is a teaser for a continuing story arc, they got their particular bad guy but there is a cadre of dangerous beings that Adam wants to go after to finish up the job. Question is will he go alone?

I always find it amazing what Kendra can piece together using all her senses. It's actually fun to see her embarrass some people and disturb others with what she knows about them just from the things she senses. I love the tension between Adam and Kendra, which finally exploded and though I was not exactly happy with the non-romantic format, the unnerving situation that set it all in motion had me almost traumatized. One of the maneuvers that the Johansens are very good at is shock. You have no idea when they will throw you for a complete loop and this one almost had me dropping the book. Sorry, but you will have to read to find out what precipitated this explosion between this couple who have danced around each other for a long time. And I dare you not to want to punch out one of the other agents in charge for his actions.

Private investigator Jessie Mercado, and Kendra's long time, blind friend, Olivia are big parts of the investigation and one of them is the reason that she is desperate to find the answers.

The danger is dark, with a lot of DOUBLE BLIND's being thrown out to keep the readers just a little off balance by what happens next. It's great when a mystery can't be easily solved by the reader, and with this one there was no way to do so until the author's let us see the truth.

If you want a dark, edgy, amazing read with characters that will stick with you, then DOUBLE BLIND is just what you need.
