Nash Cantrell has faced many dangerous situations as a Navy SEAL, but the one that he was put into by the CIA is beyond anything he had ever experienced. He's playing the part of a arms dealer, selling to a powerful Mexican drug lord. Okay, keep powerful missiles and other weaponry out of the wrong hands should be a piece of cake, until his first sighting of what would become a very dangerous weakness.
Bristol Munoz, the beautiful daughter of the drug lord, wants nothing to do with her father or the men who come around him but she is a prisoner. She knows she is only a bargaining chip to her father and knows that he was more than capable of anything after all this man is the one who killed her mother. She can't understand why she is attracted to this man who shows up at her father's compound but she is and secretly hopes she can use that and him to escape.
When Nash's cover is blown he knows two things must happen - - get the missiles and get Bristol out safely. Contacting his team leader he goes to the rescue knowing this is one fight his heart won't survive if he loses.
If anything epitomizes the Navy slogan - "it's not a career, it's an adventure," it is UNDERCOVER SEAL, by author Paige Tyler. This "SEALS of Coronado Book 4" is a spicy adventure that starts off with heart-stopping action and packed full of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Of course, where would a Ms. Tyler book be without a good hit of a sweet and steamy romance of which this book has in spades?
Nash is one of my favorites of the Coronado SEALs and I was thrilled that his story is here. It is an amazing read, with Bristol the perfect match for him. The chemistry is immediate and pretty much off the charts, we witness this within a short time as Nash (in his fake persona) defends Bristol from one of her father's henchmen. I admit freely that I am a sucker for teams and family-like camaraderie and there is plenty of that in UNDERCOVER SEAL. If you want warm, easy going personalities, then this is not for you. These men, and I have to include Bristol to a certain extent, are fighters, defending those who need help and brave enough to do what has to be done. I say Bristol is a fighter because she knows she must escape and keeps her head clear and is ready for the chance when it arrives. Nash is her chance and she is smart enough to know it and to trust what her heart tells her. A fantastic heroine for this hero.
I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in this amazing series.
