Inky the Octopus can and will escape from anywhere. Inky always makes sure the other occupants of the aquarium hear about his tales. Blotchy, Inky's tank mate, plays crazy eights and charades with his friend. One day, Blotchy bets Inky that he can't escape from the aquarium. Inky waits days before he finally decides the time is right to escape. Inky starts to climb the wall and the next thing you know, he is gone. Inky tries to get Blotchy to come with him, but Blotchy decides to say at the aquarium. Blotchy will never forget Inky and continues to tell the other inhabitants of the aquarium about Inky's heroic escapades!

Casey Lyall writes a great book that any child will enjoy. The writing in INKY'S GREAT ESCAPE is very child-friendly, along with the adorable illustration by Sebastian Serra. All the details of the different occupants of the aquarium are just stunning. I can't wait to read this book to my great-niece who is our years old. She has a great imagination and after I read it, she will come up with her own stories about aquariums!
