TOUCH OF RED by Laura Griffin is the twelfth book in the
Tracers series and is a romantic
suspense novel. TOUCH OF RED can easily be read as a
standalone novel. You will get lost in this riveting story that puts you right in
the middle of the investigation as they collect evidence
from the homicide of a young woman. They are in pursuit
to find a missing witness and on the hunt for a killer.
Griffin's writing is spot on and crisp with characters
that are relentlessly determined in their pursuit to
solve this case. The characters are hardworking with
backstories that help to add to the current case and mesh
the story together. In this fast-paced story that never
slows down you will experience many unexpected twists,
chemistry that is so hot it is sure to steam up the
pages, corruption, brutality, and murder. As you read
this thrilling suspense you will feel like you are
watching a police drama television show, but much more
detailed and dramatic. Throughout this book you will get
glimpses of characters from the previous novels which
help to weave the books in this series together. The
setting is truly spot on for a criminal investigation
with the usual places like the police department, crime
scene investigators, and the unusual spots like the scene
of the crime. All of which help to make this novel an
over the top suspenseful read that will be hard to
forget. TOUCH OF RED will take you through so many emotions
that you will feel has if you are right there along side
the investigators working the case with them. I found
this to be the kind of book that will keep you up at
night and make you question every bump in the night. This
book would be a perfect read to anyone who loves a good
thrill suspense novel with a hint of romance.
