HELL'S BELLS ring thee times and sends Lizzie Grace into
another evil mystery. This time with a local vampire, a
witch from the council, and a soul eater ... what could
possibly go wrong.
Lizzie and her friend Belle Kent; who is her partner, a
witch, and her familiar; just want to live and work in the
Faelan Werewolf reservation, but at every turn the truth
might come out. Lizzie is a member of a powerful witch
family, but as a family disappointment, she and Belle ran away.
away. Hiding under the radar is never easy but they had
hoped that this time they would be safe.
Magic, since the disappearance of the last witch, is running
wild in the reservation. It has taken a liking to Lizzie and
helped her in the last mystery, but will it help her again
or run even wilder? Evil in the form of a soul eater has
arrived in the reservation and if they don't manage to
corner it many souls will never get the chance to be reborn.
Luckily they now have some supporters, including ranger
Aiden O'Connor, who once hated witches, and now likes
Lizzie. Too bad there is always something that keeps getting
in the way of their first date.
HELL'S BELLS is fascinating! As a second book to author
Keri Arthurs' Lizzie Grace books, it follows
BLOOD KISSED and takes us back to this amazing new world of
witches and werewolves. Lizzie and Belle are still hopeful
that they will not be run out of town, as many of those in
charge are very anti-witch. Aiden has done a turn about as
far as his
feelings for Lizzie, but they just can't seem to find time
for their date. This, of course, adds to a number of
hilarious moments as the townsfolk have come up with a pool
on this and other factors in their "relationship."
I like the way Ms. Arthur has only given a few facts on the
family that Lizzie is running from, as it keeps the reader
wondering when they will finally show up or if they
even care. As a reader, I want things to work out for these
two women who are just trying to live their own lives
peacefully, and the "not yet" romance is just as frustrating
for me as it is for this couple, well maybe not. I am
hopeful that there will be a little more spice in the
the next offering.
HELL'S BELLS is a fascinating look into witches, werewolves,
vampires, wild magic, and one very frustrating, constantly
interrupted romance. I cannot wait to get my hands on the
next book of this series.
When the church bell tolls thrice in the middle of the
night, evil this way comes…
Lizzie Grace and Belle Kent, her witch familiar, are living
and working on the Faelan Werewolf Reservation—one that has
banned the use of magic within its borders. Although they
have their supporters—including ranger Aiden O’Connor, who
once hated all things witch—Lizzie and Belle now face
possible eviction.
But the Faelan Reservation is a place filled with wild magic
which—when left unprotected—quickly becomes a draw to those
who walk the darker paths. As Christmas approaches, a new
evil comes to town—one that eats the souls of the living and
animates the flesh of the dead.
As the body count grows and the trail of clues leads them to
the doorstep of the local vampire, Lizzie, Belle, and Aiden
must find the killer before death comes calling on them.
But the biggest threat of all may come in the form of a
witch who sees through the veils of Lizzie’s carefully
constructed lies and suspects the truth of who she really is…
