I really enjoyed reading THOSE TEXAS NIGHTS which is a romantic western novel that takes place in a small town named Wrangler's Creek. This small-town romance takes you into the everyday life of town folks with all the drama and love that comes with living in a small town.
Fossen writes with such cleverness and uniqueness that allows the story to take on many twists and turns that will leave you truly wanting more. Always second guessing the choices the characters make or the way they react to a situation. The characters in this book are definitely a different group than you would expect from a romantic western. They all are very independent and straightforward individuals who speak their mind. The two main characters are Sophie and Clay both of which have a lot of baggage from their past.
Will their past affect their future? THOSE TEXAS NIGHTS will make you question that the whole time you read. I really like that the backstories are well thought out and planned so that it affects the current situations and eventually their future. The chemistry between the Sophie and Clay is so steamy that you can feel the heat coming off the pages as you read page after page.
Fossen has a remarkable way of storytelling that combines the setting of a small town in Texas with the drama and gossip that is found in almost every town. I did find this to be a quick read because I got caught up in the story and just could not put it down. I recommend THOSE TEXAS NIGHTS to anyone who is a lover of steamy romantic western novels. This book has that rough and tough cowboy with a hot steamy romantic side that will sweep any women right off their feet. Overall a great read!
