Katrina Bailey came home for her sister's wedding, but
she plans on heading back to Columbia as soon as she can.
No one in her life seems to understand her determination
to travel back. She fell in love with a girl in an
orphanage and she's desperately trying to adopt her. Her
family hasn't reconciled this new side of her. They still
see her as boy crazy and flighty.
While home, Katrina runs into a little boy throwing a
tantrum in the grocery store. From her personal and
professional background, she has the knowledge to step in
and help. Bowie, his half brother, immediately offers
her a temporary job, for lot of money. Katrina doesn't
really want the job, but the money will be handy for the
adoption process.
Combined with a terrible childhood and autism, Milo
doesn't speak. But he does trust Katrina. With the
guidance from professionals and her big heart, Katrina
helps Milo understand that he's safe with his new family.
Of course the days are hard and he has melt downs. While
Katrina enjoys the time she spends with Milo, she's
unsure about Bowie. Spending time with Bowie could be a
disaster waiting to happen. She's never chosen the right
men so she no longer trusts herself when it comes to
dating. She also can't stop thinking about him and his
kisses.
The close knit town of Haven Point allows readers and
catch glimpses of characters from past books in the Haven Point series from RaeAnne
Thayne and check in
on their lives. Katrina has a huge heart and it shines
through with her interactions with Milo. Understanding
Bowie's past makes your heart soften for him and his
dealings with Milo. It's admirable that he's taken in his
half sibling and raising him. Milo is the heart of the
story. You just want to play cars with him all day long.
Understanding Katrina's past allows the reader to
empathize with her current relationships with her family
and friends and how they have a hard time seeing her now.
The relationships between the three of them and the dual
perspectives make SERENITY HARBOR hard to put down.
In the town of Haven Point, love can be just a wish—and
one magical kiss—away…
Computer-tech millionaire Bowie Callahan is about the last
person that schoolteacher Katrina Bailey wants to work for.
As far as she can see, he's arrogant, entitled and not up to
the task of caring for his young half brother, Milo. But Kat
is, especially if it brings her closer to her goal of
adopting an orphaned little girl. And as her kindness and
patience work wonders with Milo, she realizes there's more
to sexy, wary Bo than she'd ever realized.
Bo never imagined he'd be tasked with caring for a sibling
he didn't know existed. Then again, he never pictured
himself impulsively kissing vibrant, compassionate Katrina
in the moonlight. Now he's ready to make her dream of family
come true…and hoping there's room in it for him, too…
