Romance Paranormal

Gin Blanco, The Spider, an elemental assassin, leader of the underworld and all around bad ass, may finally have met her match. SNARED, is book sixteen in the Elemental Assassin series. Just when you thought it was starting to wain a little, and it was, Jennifer Estep adds a new twist. While on her search for the leaders of the elusive group known as, The Circle, the real power in town. Gin is sidetracked when she is asked to search for a missing girl. What she finds is a serial killer who now has eyes for her. If you keep up with the series, you know each member of Gin's group gets to take their turn at being in danger. This time it's Gin's turn and it is well done. Not only does she work outside her box looking for the killer, but her group of friends also have to work together differently to help her. It is a well-done book sixteen, pulling you back into the overriding plot and series with a different style of story. Yet when all is said and done SNARED still twist and turns back to the original problem, The Circle. Jennifer Estep did exactly what she needed to do with SNARED, she got the reader interested in the overall plot with a really good book. Now we are excited again to see what is going to happen to Gina and her strong supporting cast.

SUMMARY

The sixteenth book in the New York Times bestselling Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series that RT Book Reviews calls, “An extraordinary series…[containing] one of the most intriguing heroines in the genre.” If you don’t know Gin “the Spider” Blanco, you don’t know dangerous female heroines. Irony 101—The Spider herself snared in someone else’s web… Another week, another few clues trickling in about the Circle, the mysterious group that supposedly runs the city’s underworld. Gathering intel on my hidden enemies is a painstaking process, but a more immediate mystery has popped up on my radar: a missing girl. My search for the girl begins on the mean streets of Ashland, but with all the killers and crooks in this city, I’m not holding out much hope that she’s still alive. A series of clues leads me down an increasingly dark, dangerous path, and I realize that the missing girl is really just the first thread in this web of evil. As an assassin, I’m used to facing down the worst of the worst, but nothing prepares me for this new, terrifying enemy—one who strikes from the shadows and is determined to make me the next victim.
