Shane comes from a very corrupt family. Shane would like nothing better than to get out of the family business. Shane has always felt that his brother Derek was the one that maybe he could trust.

Emily and Shane have a connection. But both of them have their own secrets. While Shane and Emily have a romantic connection, Shane is not sure that he can trust her. Emily also feels the same about Shane.

The Martina Cartel is after Shane's business. They have their way of getting what they want Shane knows that this is going to put Emily in danger and Shane can't have that. Shane must to whatever he can to protect Emily. While Shane is doing all he can, he discovers several secrets. Emily, his father and Derek all have some kind of involvement in all of this.

Can Shane maintain Damage Control?

Lisa Renee Jones writes a great thriller. The only problem I had with this book is that I really should have read the first book in the Dirty Money series. If you don't read the first one, this book is very confusing.

Lisa does not go back and give you the back story on this. There is a little bit in the front of this book, but not enough for me. While it was confusing; you can kind of piece it together. I will have to go and get the first book so that this one will make a little more sense to me.

So if you want to read DAMAGE CONTROL, make sure you read HARD RULES. So read both books and enjoy.
