Wolf shifter and SWAT Officer Max Lowry finds the One, but
Lana Mason has no idea what she is. The object of his WOLF
HUNGER. He has his hands full, trying to figure out how to
tell her about their kind without scaring her and keep her
safe from the Hunters that have found her.
Lana Mason has felt a little different from an accident that
she should not have survived, but she has no idea what
shifters are or that they even exist. When she realizes that
the man she is fast falling for turns into a werewolf, she
reacts like any bright, secure, well-adjusted woman would
... she freaks. But, still, she can't stand being away from him.
WOLF HUNGER might be book seven of Paige Tyler's SWAT
(Special Wolf Alpha Team) but it is as amazing as
the first one. In a lot of paranormal books, werewolves are
accepted beings, in these books they keep hidden (as best
they can) what they are, with only a few knowing the truth.
This touch adds a lot to the fervor, I mean, how do you hide
a very large werewolf running down the center of a busy
street? Each man and woman becomes a werewolf after a
trauma, usually near death, that clicks on the latent gene
and viola ... a werewolf. The SWAT team is comprised of them
but there are others out there who are starting to come to
the team for protection. Part of the WOLF HUNGER storyline
centers on a horrible danger for all werewolves that
faithful readers could not have possibly seen coming. You
can see the build-up for future stories with more werewolves
making appearances, the viscous hunters that have come up
with a danger to all of their kind if something isn't done
to stop them.
I loved the romance in WOLF HUNGER. Even though it was an
instantaneous attraction, you could see them getting to know
each other. I also love the snarky byplay of the team
members who are trying to "help" him, that added a number of
humorous moments that gave readers a better insight of all
the varied personalities and helped build up the storyline.
This book also touches on domestic violence, the cause of
Max's turning and a case he gets involved in, even though he
is afraid it will make things worse he can't help himself. I
love that about all of the SWAT boys, they may be tough,
buff guys but their hearts work just fine.
If you want a different kind of werewolf storyline, a hunky
hero, a heroine who is a woman with a mind of her own, sweet
and steamy romance, danger, intrigue, the camaraderie of a
family of the heart then get your hands on WOLF HUNGER.
SHE'S ALL THE WOLF HE'LL EVER NEED...
When SWAT Officer Max Lowry meets Lana Mason, he falls fast
and hard. He's positive she's The One. And Max's favorite
part? Lana's a wolf shifter too, so they can skip the
awkward reveal and head straight to the happily ever after.
There's just one problem: Lana doesn't know that she's a
werewolf.
To make matters worse, hunters with intent to kill have
tracked Lana to Dallas. Max has to figure out how to keep
Lana safe, show her who and what she really is―and just how
much she means to him.
