I DARED THE DUKE is so much damn fun. After years of ignoring his grandmother's companion, Alexander is forced to realize that his assumptions of her are simply not correct. While she's been the perfect wallflower, appearances are simply not what they seem.
Elizabeth, for her part, has assumptions of her own regarding Alexander and none of them is positive. She adores his grandmother, however, and has no interest in seeing him abuse his power in banishing the two to the country.
After she finally shows her backbone and shocks Alexander into agreeing to her plot, I DARED THE DUKE takes off through a romp of mistaken identities, arranged romances, and happily ever afters. This is one of those books that I will probably not remember details about, but I will remember how it made me feel. An engrossing tale for sure and one worth your time.
