Ella Quinn's new novel, WHEN A MARQUIS CHOOSES A BRIDE, is an enchanting story about two very different people whose hearts are drawn together. Dominic's domineering uncle taught him that tradition and duty are everything. It's not until he and Dotty get caught in another woman's scheme that he realizes this unconventional miss could be his perfect match.
Dominic and Dotty are destined for each other, the chemistry clicks right away. Quinn doesn't make it easy for them. She plots plenty of twists and turns, including a jilted debutante with her scheming cousin and a gang of murderous human traffickers. It's such a joy to read how Dotty changes the lives of everyone she encounters, from a litter of kittens to an urchin accused of stealing. Quinn also gives us the staples of Regency romance, dancing at Almack's, drives in Hyde Park, and secret rendezvous during balls. It's an entertaining and layered story with a fascinating cast of characters, and a strong message about social justice.
WHEN A MARQUIS CHOOSES A BRIDE is the second book in the Worthingtons series, and I look forward to future outings with the family. I recommend this novel for fans of historical romance who enjoy a bit of mystery and intrigue with their love stories.
