Not sure how it's possible, but Sandra Brown certainly out did herself with this crazy twisted crime novel of epic proportions. Not even the best arm chair detectives among her long list of fans will ferret out the ending even armed with a litany of clues. The ending is vintage Sandra Brown and STING is definitely one of her best yet and that's saying a lot.
STING is smart, sassy, sexy and satisfying. Page by page Brown sends you down a path that has more twist and turns than you can imagine. There are some wonderful characters to meet in STING and some will surprisingly become quite dear. Seems the scruffier they are the better in one of Sandra Brown's books.
Jordan has had a tough time living within what had definitely become a dysfunctional family. And that's being kind. Her relationship with her brother Josh is the stuff nightmares are made of. Josh just can't get out of his own way and with the guilt trip he had laid on Jordie all these years -- he doesn't have to. She steps in whenever he is in another jam. But this newest problem is one that won't just disappear and Jordie is out of solutions.
Now it seems that there are hitmen out to get her wayward brother and they have Jordie in their sights as well.
I'm sure all Sandra Brown fan has a list of favorites and I think STING is a strong contender for a spot on that list. In STING Sandra Brown intelligently has her characters difficult to figure. Her characters seem to cross lines making it a task to ferret out the bad guys from the good ones. As always Brown makes sure that her reader gets invested in the characters in STING.
