Romance Contemporary

Honor Brown is on her way to her recently acquired fixer- upper, to be closer to her ailing grandfather, who is now in a home. Her best friend Lexie tagged along for moral support, Lexie the shameless flirt, immediately notices Honor's hot new neighbors. Honor is bent on remaining inconspicuous, but Lexie makes it impossible. Honor has noticed one particular neighbor Jason Guthrie, as he has noticed Honor. Neither have the time for a relationship, but he is very quickly smitten, if only Honor would let him in. With DON'T TEMPT ME, Lori Foster kicks off a new series in grand style, and the author will definitely garner even more fans. With nary a few words, the author clearly establishes the visuals of the Clearbrook neighborhood, and I immediately fell in love with the small town and its residents. Ms. Foster remains true to herself in creating appealing, complex characters, a solid story, smashing dialogues, and sizzling sex scenes. It really amazed me how fresh, fun, and enjoyable this story is. Lori Foster's writing is tighter and more polished than ever, which is a feat in itself. I really cared about every character; Jason was so patient with Honor, whom I so wanted to hug. I absolutely adored Lexie, with her big heart and complete absence of filters. Lexie also gets her man, although I feel that her romance might have been wrapped up a tad too tidily; it could have easily extended into the next book. And I cannot wait to meet up again with these characters in future installments of this series; the possibilities are nearly endless. With DON'T TEMPT ME, Lori Foster demonstrates once again why she is a giant of contemporary romance!

SUMMARY

Love comes along when it's least wanted Jason Guthrie has no time for entanglements—between helping out his widowed brother and teenage nephew and getting his hometown back on its feet, his days are spoken for. But his nights are another story… And when his lovely new neighbor, Honor Brown, reluctantly accepts his help in remodeling her house, Jason finds himself wishing his handyman skills could knock down the defenses she keeps building around herself. Martial arts teacher Sullivan Dean knows real danger when he sees it—even when it takes the form of the gorgeous blonde helping her friend move in across the street. After putting his wayward past behind him to focus on teaching control to troubled kids, Sullivan has learned to avoid party girls like Lexie Perkins. But Sullivan can't seem to keep his hands off the real woman behind that flirty charm—or keep his heart from landing at her feet…
