IF THE EARL ONLY KNEW is the first book in the Daring Marriages series by Amanda Forester. This is an amazing start with great characters for the new series. Lady Katherine Ashton and her twin brother, Robert Ashton the Earl of Darington, were orphaned at a young age and spent most of their lives on seas, trying to restore their family fortune through somewhat dubious means. She knows that with spending her childhood in prison and having dark secrets she won't ever be accepted as a proper lady, she'd rather chase the pirates than behave like a lady.
The handsome and troublesome Earl of Wynbrook has known Kate and Robert for years and he believed Kate is beneath him, but after the tragic accident which caused him to lose his parents and become a responsible brother for his sibling, he starts to notice how alluring and fascinating Kate is once she returns to London with her brother. But every time Kate and Robert visit London something terrible happens. This time a villain is attempting to rob them. So John invites them to stay with him and his family during their stay in London. He has never imagined falling for the scandalous, unsuitable Kate.
I must say Amanda Forester has created another delightful romance with great adventures and romance. I not only enjoyed reading Kate and John story but also loved the secondary characters and can't wait for their story. While the story was funny and full of adventures, there were lots of emotional scenes that make the story more fascinating. I highly recommend IF THE EARL ONLY KNEW. This is a story with lots of adventures, mysteries, secrets, fun and romance. I can't wait to read the next one in the series. Thank you Amanda Forester!

alluring, and altogether fascinating. And Kate canβt decide
which she relishes more, the thrill of chasing fearsome
pirates, or having Wynbrook chase after herβ¦
