"The baseball player and the ballerina make a winning combination!"

Fresh Fiction Review

Romance Erotica Sensual | Romance Contemporary

TRIPLE SCORE is Book 4 in Regina Kyle's "Art of Seduction" series. Even though it's part of a series, TRIPLE SCORE works as a standalone book. TRIPLE SCORE has an unusual setting for a romance to bloom -- a physical therapy complex. The baseball player and the ballerina make a winning combination. Regina Kyle stretches out the sexual tension in TRIPLE SCORE with hot results.

I like that the hero and heroine are both athletes and have that common ground. I also like that Jace respects Noelle as a fellow athlete. Regina Kyle does a great job of giving the reader a window into the souls of the main characters. Jace is more than just a baseball playing bad boy. I enjoyed learning about Jace's struggles with his dad. Regina Kyle makes Jace's dad neither a good guy nor bad guy, but simply a flawed and realistic character. Jace's relationship with his dad adds depth to Jace's personality. Likewise, knowing more about how Noelle has been burned by a former lover makes her more sympathetic and real.

The teasing and flirting between Jace and Noelle throughout TRIPLE SCORE makes this romance more entertaining. Jace walks a line between being charming and obnoxious at the very beginning. I like that Noelle plays a little hard to get at first. The romance that develops between Jace and Noelle is steamy and sweet. I like how Jace plans romantic surprises for Noelle that prove how much she means to him and how well he's gotten to know her. The commentary from Noelle's sisters is amusing and shows another aspect of Noelle. The ribbing that Jace takes from his buddies when they show up is another nice dose of humor. I also liked the mentoring relationship that Jace develops with a young baseball player at the rehab facility.

TRIPLE SCORE is a fun, sexy ride with lots of heart. The friendships in TRIPLE score add humor and help define the main characters. I enjoyed the satisfying epilogue as it provides a nice follow-up on the characters. I wouldn't mind reading about Jace's baseball buddies in future books. I look forward to the next story by Regina Kyle.

SUMMARY

Knowing the score…

Prima ballerina Noelle Nelson needs to recover from her injury and return to the stage. She won't consider failure…or be distracted by baseball's resident bad boy, Jace Monroe. His tattoos, wicked smile and deliciously athletic body might drive her crazy, but a media frenzy is the last thing this good girl needs.

Jace is sick with fear that his own injury will never heal, but he's not about to let anyone notice, especially the gorgeous blonde dancer he loves to infuriate. He's pushing himself past his physical capacity, putting his future at risk. Still, when it comes to making a play for Noelle, Jace is in scoring position—and he's not going to back down!
