Romance Erotica Sensual

ROCK STEADY is Book 2 in Dawn Ryder's Rock Band series. After reading the first book in this series, I've been ravenous for bad boy rock star Ramsey's book. Dawn Ryder delivers everything I wanted and more. When Ramsey makes the acquaintance of starving tattoo artist Jewel, his days of wild orgies are numbered.

Too often an author loses the bad boy charm a reader loves most about a character when that hero finds love. Dawn Ryder successfully keeps everything fans love about Ramsey, while just making him happier and at peace with himself. Jewel catches Ramsey at exactly the right time in his life. When Jewel has to do a cover-up tattoo after his night of drunken debauchery, Ramsey is starting to become a little disgusted with his party boy persona. Jewel is attracted immediately to his wildness and sense of fun, but sees something more in him. When Jewel tells Ramsey just how she sees him, part of him struggles to resist her allure, but part of him grasps at her like a drowning man would for a life preserver. I was intrigued by the things I learned about Ramsey in ROCK STEADY.

I like Jewel and the way she is swayed by Ramsey up to a point, but also wants to maintain a career outside of his world. She is very aware of trying not to appear like she's just using his connections to get ahead. The little skirmishes between Ramsey and Jewel for control are sinfully torrid. I like that Jewel doesn't try to change Ramsey but lets him know what she expects and wants from him. Jewel's honesty is something Ramsey only usually gets from his band mates. Dawn Ryder does a great job balancing the fun and stunningly sexy moments with the more emotional and heavy.

Every page of ROCK STEADY is delectable with a delicious bad boy book boyfriend to make all your fantasies come true. This is a great series for romance fans who like the decadence that comes with rock stars, but also the substance provided by good storytelling and strong characters. I look forward to the next book for updates on the other band members.

Toxsin: rock stars on and off the stage

Superstar guitarist Ramsey's reputation as a bad-boy rocker is exceeded only by his dedication to his music. When a jilted groupie gets back at him for a one-night stand with an intimate-and completely inappropriate-tattoo, he needs it fixed, and fast.

When a high-profile tattoo job lands Jewel an invite on Toxsin's latest tour, she can't say no. What she's really worried about is ruining the gig by hooking up with the first guy to completely rock her world. She knows she should resist-Ramsey's not the kind to stick around for a morning after. But the way he makes her feel could be worth any risk.
