RETURN OF THE BAD BOY is Book 4 in Jessica Lemmon's "Second Chance" series. I love this "Second Chance" series. Each hero is delectable and each book gets harder to put down. Every book in this series is about a bad boy, or former bad boy, who has grown up and matured in some way. It's not necessary to have read all the previous books in this series in order to understand and enjoy RETURN OF THE BAD BOY. However, reading BRINGING HOME THE BAD BOY first might be helpful in understanding the main characters and how their relationship started out, and then changed. In RETURN OF THE BAD BOY, naughty rock star hottie Asher Knight is a bad boy trying to do the right thing by his son and win the woman he loves.
This is a great romance for readers who enjoy character- driven stories. Asher and Gloria, his agent and obsession, have so much mutual baggage to work through before they can find lasting happiness together. As a reader, it's worth going along for the ride as they work things out because there is so much genuine affection and fiery chemistry between them. I love stories in which the hero pursues the heroine and Asher pursues like a champ. I also like that, while both characters are delightfully flawed and a perfect fit for each other, it's the hero who figures himself out emotionally before the heroine does. Every poignant scene in RETURN OF THE BAD BOY strikes exactly the right chord and the moments of passion are scorching. Asher and Gloria burn up the pages in RETURN OF THE BAD BOY.
RETURN OF THE BAD BOY is a tale about soul mates with a seriously sexy streak. Jessica Lemmon succeeds at creating a story that sparkles, characters with depth to captivate the reader, and romance that is hot, hot, hot. I'm not sure if this is the end of the series, but there are some secondary characters like the enigmatic Alessandre and Asher's band mates who stir my curiosity and I'd love to read more about them.
