The characters are quirky and some of the skills they've picked up may seem a bit distasteful—and yet some Seanan McGuire shows us the magical beauty that underlies the horrors.

EVERY HEART A DOORWAY is a fascinating foray into the world where the seemingly impossible just might be true. Seanan McGuire does an excellent job at giving us just enough insight into various worlds that exist behind the doorways, and I absolutely love the idea of a map based on directions such as Nonsense, Logic, Virtue, and Wickedness. EVERY HEART A DOORWAY proves yet again why I love each and every Seanan McGuire book I've read and why I must hurry up and read her backlist that I missed out on before discovering her.
