NSA agent Nathan Ortiz finds himself going home to Miami

the new mission has a serious drawback. He must become

Amelia Rios is beautiful, successful and part of what she
loves to do is give women in need a helping hand. But when
a woman she had hired stops coming in to work, she is
worried. When Amelia finds this woman isn't the first to
disappear, Amelia knows she has to do something. She has no
way of knowing that the one man she loved beyond everything
when she was a teen will lead her straight into a
world of darkness she didn't know was so close to her.
The hardest thing was seeing Nathan again and knowing
the secret she kept is still between them ... but so is the
simmering feelings neither of them were expecting. Is
there such a thing as a second chance?
A COVERT AFFAIR is a fast reading, very suspenseful storyline by an author who
knows how to throw you into her
world. Nathan and Amelia are getting a second chance at
love if they can get past their history. I love reading a
mystery and trying to guess who the bad guy is. And I
really did try, but just when I was sure I was right, the
plot twisted and new information came in, and then someone
else moved to the forefront. The ultimate villain took me
completely by surprise, but I must admit I did appreciate
the ending of this particular person a lot. Nathan and
Amelia had a lot to work out. Between functioning as a team
to find the missing women (turns out there were quite a
few), secrets came out and forgiveness was given.
This is author Katie Reus' fifth Deadly Ops series,
and I
believe it's still as fresh and full of surprises as the
first. So if you like suspense, second chances at love,
steamy, grab-you-by-the-throat romance and bad guys getting
their butts kicked, then A COVERT AFFAIR needs to be in
your hands!
