HOW TO SEDUCE A SCOT is the first book in Broadswords and Ballrooms series by Christy English. The author creates a cute and easy reading historical romance with a Scottish hero and English heroine.
Alexander Waters and his brother, Robert, have come to London to see their hellion sister find an English husband. Alexander can't wait to leave London and be done with his sister's marriage business; he didn't expect to get attracted to the proper English miss, Catherine Middlebrook, the only English young lady who befriends his sister, Mary Elizabeth.
Catherine's family can only afford one season for her to find a husband. She is looking for an Englishman who can support her family and save them before they lose everything. She doesn't have time for distraction and a handsome highlander so why can't she stop dreaming about Alexander and his kisses.
Mrs. Christy' first book in the Broadswords and Ballrooms is a delightful and fast read romance. The whole story takes place in London with the Waters family residing in Duchess Northumberland's house. The author didn't mention exactly why Alexander's mother wants her only daughter marry an Englishman, while her sons aren't allowed to marry English ladies. Even though Mary Elizabeth is a hellion I love her and can't wait to read her story.
Alexander is a sweet and handsome highlander who actually talks and behave mostly like an Englishman. He tries so hard to be a gentleman and stays away from Catherine but when she returns his kisses passionately he can't stop wanting more.......
Catherine is beautiful and responsible, and she tries so hard to save her family. She has a hard time making the right decision after falling for her handsome highlander. Mrs. Christy made this romance enjoyable with a nice chemistry between hero and heroine, she also made HOW TO SEDUCE A SCOT more fun with interesting and mischievous secondary characters. I can't wait to read the next one in the Broadswords and Ballrooms series.
Determined to see his hellion of a sister wed, Highlander
Alexander Waters is willing to face
anything-even the English. He just didn't expect his own

riot...or for a blooming English rose to catch his eye.
Gently bred Catherine Middlebrook must find a respectable
man to marry or her family will be
ruined. She won't allow herself to be distracted by
Highland
barbarians...no matter how her
body may thrill whenever Alex is near.
Catherine wasn't part of the plan, but as their battle of
wills escalates, Alex comes to realize
this "proper" English girl is as wild as the Highlands
themselves...and nothing will stop him
from having her.
