THE ALPHA'S TEMPORARY MATE is Book 3 in the Fated Match series by Victoria Davies. As a fan of Victoria Davies, and specifically this series, I was eager to revisit the world of this paranormal dating agency. Each book is very different from the preceding book. THE ALPHA'S TEMPORARY MATE is such an appealing story for me because I love stories involving pretend romantic relationships, and I love how Victoria Davies pairs opposites with fiery results.

It's great that THE ALPHA'S TEMPORARY MATE is told from two perspectives. Since wealthy werewolf Kieran Clearwater and witch Chloe Donovan have an inauspicious first meeting, they are cautious in revealing how they truly feel. Chloe and Kieran both have some emotional baggage from past relationships and other things they've experienced in life. Although the type of heartbreak they've experienced is different, the longing they have for each other is the same, and the desire to have a soulmate to trust is the same.

I love how what starts out as a lust-fueled attraction blossoms into something much deeper and emotionally satisfying. Although Chloe starts out as Kieran's fake girlfriend, they end up providing what they each need to heal their souls. Victoria Davies does a great job of balancing all the sexiness and danger with tender and agonizing moments. I like how Chloe and Kieran surprise themselves with the intensity of their feelings for each other. The sexual tension and slow evolution of their feelings makes the story more interesting, and the happy ending more satisfying because of how hard they fought to get there.

THE ALPHA'S TEMPORARY MATE is a fun and sensual paranormal romance with delightful sentimental undertones. The supporting characters - both new and old - are fascinating and I look forward to reading more about them in future books. I especially hope to read more about Vivian, Kieran's friend Niall, and Chloe's succubus friend Jessica. I would also love to find out what happened to the werewolf Christian from the first book in this series.
