REVEALED TO HIM is Book 3 in Jen Frederick's Kerr Chronicles series. Although it is part of a series, I think REVEALED TO HIM works as a stand-alone novel. Although this is the first book I've read by Jen Frederick, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it will definitely not be my last. I love this book!

There are so many things to savor about REVEALED TO HIM. REVEALED TO HIM is a deeply erotic love story wrapped around a chilling mystery. Veteran and private detective Jake Tanner is brought into writer and recluse Natalie Beck's life when fear is holding her hostage. Due to a stalker, Natalie opts to be a prisoner in her own home. Jake is called in to make her home more secure as well as to find out who the bad guy is. I adore the romance that develops between Natalie and Jake. The flirty texts, emails, and phone calls before actually meeting, create lots of sexual tension. I like having the story told from both perspectives. Once Natalie and Jake finally do get together, their passion is fiery and intense.

Natalie's feelings of isolation and, at times, paranoia are evocative of the film "Gaslight." Jen Frederick does a great job of capturing the feeling of being closed in and drowning in fear. Natalie is a complex character -- extremely fragile, yet a woman who wants and tries to overcome her agoraphobia. Both main characters are multifaceted and sympathetic. Although Jake has some synthetic limbs, Natalie's psychological issues prove more problematic. However, I like the skillful way that Jen Frederick has Jake eventually realize he hasn't fully come to terms with losing his limbs.

REVEALED TO HIM has everything I want in a romantic suspense novel -- a sexy yet sweet commanding hero, a knockout thrilling mystery, and a red-hot romance combo. The mystery surrounding Natalie's stalker and the passionate romance she has with Jake take up equal space in REVEALED TO HIM. After reading REVEALED TO HIM, I plan on hunting down the previous two books in this series to devour them as well. I eagerly await the next book in this Kerr Chronicles series by Jen Frederick!
