Dan and Lori Fulton moved from California to New York with
their young son to start a new life. They've settled in
well, eventually putting the past behind them. However, it
all comes crashing down when four heavily armed men invade
their home and attach bomb vests to each of them. The
assailants force Dan, a branch bank manager, to remove
$250,000 from the bank's vault. He is then instructed where
to deliver the money in an elaborately confusing trek
through the city and into the countryside, while Lori and
their son are transported to a remote location. Have the
Fultons been picked randomly, or could this somehow be
linked to their pasts?
As the FBI starts a full-scale investigation into the chain
of events, intrepid journalist Kate Page rushes into
reporting the horrific situation for the newswire service
Newslead. Using her many contacts, Kate uncovers some
disturbing aspects even the FBI does not know. Kate's
rapport with one of the investigators proves beneficial for
both of them, as well as the Fulton family, as they share
information. And what they eventually discover has more
evil ramifications than anyone imagined.
Adroit author Rick Mofina gives readers another
skillfully conceived thriller in EVERY SECOND, the third in
his Kate Page series. Utilizing chilling plot twists
and convincing characters, EVERY SECOND progresses at
breakneck speed to an electrifying conclusion. I always
enjoy reading Rick Mofina's thrillers!
