Movie star Gideon Kelly has always harbored a crush on his long-time friend and assistant Sarah. But Sarah Holtz, a child star who had crashed and burned as a teen, doesn't want to be involved in his type of life. He has to find a way to let her know that he and love has been HERE ALL ALONG.
Sarah is more than grateful that Gideon had been there when she fell apart and helped put the pieces back together, but now she is looking for a life far away from the paparazzi flashes. The need for privacy is one of the things that is holding her back from exploring more than a working friendship with her best friend. But when a video of a kiss goes viral, she is wondering if he's worth the risk of stepping back into the spotlight. Though being his leading lady just might be worth it.
HERE ALL ALONG is a sweet romance that will tug at your heart. I will also add that it is a little sad, not the book itself, but knowing that this is the final Kelly Brothers book by author Crista McHugh. I loved this series of seven brothers as we followed their search for love. In this one I loved Sarah. She is looking for happiness, searching for the answer, not realizing it was right in front of her. Gideon knows what he wants but he ends up making a few mistakes along the way and almost loses her. Luckily for all these boys they receive much needed pieces of advice from Mom, who sets them to the right path. HERE ALL ALONG gives insight into what movie stars go through, how little of their life is their own, how little privacy is afforded them, which I found really interesting. Ms. McHugh writes a romance that makes you feel as if it could be real and you don't want it to end. If you haven't read her Kelly Brothers books, it doesn't matter. They are all stand alones, but you really are missing out on really good reads. I can't wait to see what else her vivid imagination comes up with.
