Her Lucky Cowboy

Romance Suspense | Western

HER LUCKY COWBOY is book three in The Montana Men series and can be read as a standalone. Jennifer Ryan once again does a wonderful job in telling this story. It brought me to tears. In HER LUCKY COWBOY, a young girl who is rejected by her family feels like she is alone in the world. Imagine being raised by a grandmother who rejects you and calls you evil just because you are gifted and are an off-the-charts genius. Bell never had the opportunity to interact with others. She was kept away from the outside world. Her first interaction with others is when she attends college at age fifteen. When Bell finishes college she could go anywhere in the world but she comes back home to take care of her horrible grandmother.

Champion rodeo rider Dane Bowden is finally about to win a long-anticipated championship when he is badly injured. Bell doesn't think twice about leaping to Dane's rescue just like she did eleven years before. When Dane opens his eyes and looks at Bell he finally realizes that his angel was not a dream. When Dane learns about the conditions Bell has lived under all these years he is determined to show her what it feels like to have someone love you and value you.

I love Jennifer Ryans' stories because she does a wonderful job of portraying strong women who live through horrendous circumstances. The only person who ever showed Bell any love was her beloved grandfather who died. If this is your first time reading one of Jennifer Ryan's novels then I encourage you to read the others. Her stories will have a lasting effect. When you look at life through Bell's eyes it's amazing to see what a wonderful person she is, given the circumstances that life dealt her. Out of all of Jennifer Ryan's books, by far, this one is my favorite!

SUMMARY

Everything's bigger in Big Sky country, including the hearts of the Montana Men

Champion rodeo rider Dane Bowden is eight seconds from winning under the Vegas lights, one last hurrah before reluctantly returning to his family's Montana ranch. But his bull has other plans. When Dane wakes up, he's sure he's died and gone to heaven . . . because the doctor who comes to his aid is the same girl who saved his life and disappeared years ago.

Bell would do anything for Dane. He's the fantasy that always kept her going. A child genius hidden away by her family, Bell was the secret no one talked about, the girl no one wanted. Despite finding success as a young surgeon, she's still the awkward girl who's never had a boyfriend. So why does Dane, a notorious playboy and sizzling-hot cowboy, insist on taking her on a real date?

Bell is the only woman in Dane's heart. When a rodeo rivalry turns deadly, it's his turn to save Bell's life—because he sure as hell won't lose his guardian angel again.
