This is another great novel by Sandra Brown. FRICTION is full of intrigue that will keep you guessing. I read it in one day because I could not put it down. Sandra Brown is great in writing novels that keep you in suspense. There are unexpected secrets revealed, family reconciliation, and unconditional love from a father for his daughter.
Texas Ranger Crawford Hunt is trying to regain custody of his five-year old daughter Georgia from his in-laws. Four years ago when his wife died, Crawford's life spiraled out of control. Now that he has his life back in control, he has to appear in court for a custody battle before family court Judge Holly Spenser to prove that he should regain custody of his daughter.
Right before Holly can deliver her decision in court regarding custody, a masked gunman bursts into the courtroom wielding a gun. Crawford does what he is trained to do and goes into action and saves Holly's life. His actions will backfire on him because it will reflect on actions he took four years ago. This story will reveal who the real target is and the reason behind it.
FRICTION has the right title because there is sexual friction between Crawford and Holly, tense friction between Crawford and his father-in-law, and contentious friction between him and a police detective.
