Amanda Pierson is only planning a long overdue vacation at
the Dunne farm. It turns into a working holiday as she is
roped into throwing together the dream wedding for
Michaela
Exton and Robin Goodfellow. It's not a problem for this
woman; she is after all the best party planner at Fantasy
Events, Inc. Then why is it she quickly wants to throw up
her hands and say NEVER MORE especially when the groom's
son, Raven keeps interfering in her thoughts. He's too
brash, too bold and ... goth, not at all what she wants
her
man to be. Yet there is something about him that is
magical.
Raven Goodfellow knew from a picture that Amanda was his
truebond. Now face to face he is positive. The path to
love
is going to be a rough one, not because Amanda has no idea
what all the people are around her but the Dark Queen will
not forgive him for leaving her and going to his father.
With her agents sent to destroy him, Raven finds himself
in
a desperate fight to protect all he holds dear.
NEVER MORE takes us back to Dana Marie Bell's The Grey
Court series with this fast paced steamy read. I
laughed
most of the way through this book. Raven does a lot of
grumbling about the tux he must wear, knowing his father
he
just knows it will be some pastel monstrosity. We also get
a good view of the Raven beneath the man in black; he is a
sweet, gentle, teasing man but fiercely protective. He
will
face problems in the Grey Court but if Oberon (the king)
and the Hob trust him so will others ... eventually.
Amanda
looks like a proper lady, but once you get to know her she
is snarky and fearless and good heavens don't dare her.
She's the reason the bachelorette party ends up in jail
...
but I will let you find out how and why. She has been Ruby
Dunne's friend forever but has no idea about Fae or the
White, Grey or Black Courts and when she is introduced to
the truth she is already in too deep to run, though she is
tempted. I loved how she called Raven "Goth Boy" to his
face and he began to take it as a term of endearment,
which
it quickly became. I am hoping Ms. Bell has plans for a
book seven because I would like to know what happens next
in this amazing Court.
On the slightly negative side, it seemed that parts of
this
book were rushed, as if the bad stuff was gotten through
just so we could get to the wedding and the happily ever
after. There were a number of things left up in the air. I
do suggest that if you haven't read any of the Grey
Court
series that you start from the beginning, I thought it was
an easier read because I knew all the characters from the
previous books.
Love takes wing faster than a Raven in flight.
The Gray Court, Book 6
Amanda Pierson's long-overdue holiday at the Dunne farm
unexpectedly turns into a working vacation when she's
roped
into throwing together a last-minute dream wedding for
Michaela Exton and Robin Goodfellow. No biggie for one of
the best party planners at Fantasy Events, Inc., right?
Right.
A monkey wrench lands with a thud when the groom's son-
who's
been watching her every move-declares they were meant to
be
together. Raven Goodfellow is everything she doesn't want
in
a lover. Brash, bold and goth. Yet there's something
almost...magical about their attraction.
The moment Raven saw Amanda's picture, he had suspicions.
Now that he's seen her in person, he's certain. She is his
truebond, though it will take a delicate, feather-light
touch to bring her into his world.
Love takes wing faster than a bird in flight. But when the
Dark Queen sends agents to destroy him, Raven finds
himself
in a desperate fight to protect all he holds dear...or the
Dark Queen may succeed where so many others have failed.
Warning: This title contains explicit sex, graphic
language,
a bachelorette party that ends in jail time, double-dog
dares, feathered flirting and wicked intentions.
