Romance Paranormal | Romance Suspense | Thriller Paranormal - Supernatural

John Brodie is a Guardian, a member of a secretive network devoted to winning a war very few know exists. His job is to protect vulnerable psychics from a deadly, ruthless and virtually invisible enemy. He doesn't expect to be caught in A DEADLY WEB while on the job. Tasha Solomon is a gifted psychic whose abilities have saved her more than once. She doesn't believe she needs help ... she doesn't even know anything like the Guardian's even exists. But then she meets Brodie ... and when he saves her from an unexpected psychic attack ... she is a believer. Quickly she realizes her safe haven isn't so safe and she only has Brodie to guide her through this maze of danger, deception, lies and treachery until they reach a safe harbor ... if there is such a thing. A DEADLY WEB will be woven around you as you read, not letting go until the end. This is the second book of author Kay Hooper's new Bishop Files. Book one was The First Prophet where we were introduced to the secret organization and Sarah, Tucker and Murphy who return in this one. In this book we have Brodie, the Guardian, who will do anything in his power to protect the psychic who is the beautiful Tasha. She thought she was doing well protecting herself but finds it wasn't real. Nothing in her life was real and only Brodie is someone she can trust. She will also protect him as you will see when you read A DEADLY WEB. I will suggest that you just might want to read The First Prophet first just to make it easier to keep the characters straight. Also for those who like action, there is only a little ... it's mostly mind games; romance is nonexistent but ... for lovers of the Bishop/Special Crimes Unit novels we get to once again see Miranda and [Noah] Bishop in action as they find themselves involved in this secret organization. I felt that this one seem to end rather abruptly so I am hoping to see more of Tasha and Brodie in the next book.

SUMMARY

The new Bishop Files novel by the New York Times bestselling author of The First Prophet and the Bishop/Special Crimes Unit novels. John Brodie is a Guardian, a member of a secretive network devoted to winning a war very few even know exists: protecting the vulnerable psychics in his charge from a deadly, ruthless — and virtually invisible enemy. Tasha Solomon is a gifted psychic whose abilities have saved her more than once from situations as dangerous as they are baffling. She doesn’t believe she needs help, and she doesn’t even know that Guardians exist — until Brodie saves her life. Unaccustomed to depending on anyone for anything, Tasha now finds herself embroiled in deadly game where the ultimate goal is a fate far worse than any nightmare. The only person she can trust is Brodie to guide her through a maze of danger and deception, lies and treachery, friends and enemies, until they reach safe harbor. If they reach safe harbor.
